The Patrick Moore Bursary provides direct financial help to students at the college studying in any carpentry program. Recipients must demonstrate financial need and be in good academic standing. Preference will be given to students in the Apprenticeship stream, those who indicate an interest in pursuing Red Seal certification, and/or those who demonstrate an interest in or active work in heritage, preservation and/or conservation.
Contributions provide direct financial relief to carpentry students by covering essential tools, materials, transportation, and certification-related fees. By reducing financial stress, the bursary helps students remain focused on completing their programs and advancing through apprenticeship pathways, including Red Seal certification. It also supports hands-on experience in heritage and conservation work, strengthening both employability and community impact. Each contribution produces clear, measurable outcomes — students retained, credentials achieved, and skilled trades professionals entering the workforce.
All individual contributions are eligible for official charitable tax receipts. To give, please use the college’s secure giving page. Donors who prefer to discuss larger or legacy gifts may contact the School directly for options and acknowledgement preferences.
All gifts qualify for charitable tax receipts. Thank you for supporting a St. Lawrence student.
